Hum-drum.... that's how I'd describe this day. I was busier than expected at work and just felt like I was running in circles.
Hum-drum is also how I felt about this outfit. Possible correlation? Maybe. Regardless, here's how I got to this outfit. I knew I wanted comfortable outfits to wear most of this week. When picking out my outfits Sunday, I pulled this dress out of the closet, mostly because it's on the chopping block. I've had it for several (several) years and I've only worn it once or twice. It's a really cute dress, it is just extremely low cut and it doesn't work for day (in my opinion) without a cover of some sort but it also doesn't work for night because it is too conservative (also in my opinion :) ) So it sits in my closet. I pulled it to wear and also pulled this linen jacket because I thought is was a decent color companion. As I got dressed, I realized I needed a cami-type option, but I didn't want white because it would have been too stark of a contrast. I don't have that color pink, so beige was my only option.
Frankly, it looks better in these pictures than I think it did in person. I was uncomfortable with this "look" all day. Looking at these pictures, I don't mind how the skirt looks with the jacket over it so I will keep it around for fall/winter, pair it with a sweater and give it one last chance. Other than that, this one might have seen its last days...
